Can Do Car Wash - Vortex Car Wash System

Since 1983, Magic Wand Car Wash Systems has been manufacturing quality touchless
wash systems. It began with the Magic Spray Oval Track that progressed to the Magic
Spray Size-O-Matic, which then evolved into the Magic Spray 2000.

Now, Magic Wand introduces the next generation of touchless automatics: The Vortex.

The Vortex has seven patented Vortex nozzles, by Magic Wand. They are positioned
with two on each side, one in each top corner, and one top center. These are mounted in
pivoting brackets that are controlled by double air cylinders. The machine sits at the front
of the vehicle. One air cylinder activates, causing a sweeping motion across the front of
the vehicle and allowing complete coverage. As the unit moves to the back of the vehicle,
the spray heads stop the sweeping motion allowing complete focus on the front of the
vehicle until it reaches the side mirror area, which is the switch point. This is where the air
cylinder activates to change direction of the spray ensuring coverage of the flat areas
facing the rear of the vehicle, such as cab covers and rear windows on pickup trucks.
The spray head continues in this direction until it reaches the rear, where the air cylinder
again activates sweeping across the vehicle.

The Vortex uses the Magic Spray Gantry Drive Systems along with a state of the Idec
Controller and Idec Operator Interface touch screen. This feature allows for the Vortex
to be programmed for thirty wash passes - 15 front-to-rear and 15 rear-to-front - each
enables adjustments to be made to the dwell and purge timers. The speed of the pass can
be selected from the four field programmable settings allowing for endless programming
options. The interface also allows for onboard accounting accessible via a phone modem,
maintenance for manual operation of each function, and self-diagnostic troubleshooting.
